OCEAN OBSERVING & CO-DEVELOPMENT

SOOP initiates an innovation ecosystem for sustainable ocean observing that lowers the barriers for the development and increased use of measurement systems and data flows

WHAT DOES THIS LOOK LIKE?

SOOP offers a framework for science, industry and civil society to jointly act towards building competencies and supporting the growth of sustainable ocean observations. It promotes the co-creation of technologies, standards and best practices specifically designed for interoperability on non-scientific infrastructure.

Our goal is to enable co-development of reliable, affordable and user-friendly measurement systems and data flows together with existing and new partners in future.

Together we want to activate the social and technological  innovation potential of the Blue Economy, from technology development through to usage of data.

SOOPort Office

Good news: We are setting up our SOOPort Office at the moment.

The SOOPort Office will be the central structure within SOOP, coordinating support for our partners that are out on the ocean measuring or for the ones who would like to become part of the SOOP Community.

What we will offer:
  • Guidance with new installations
  • Support with SOOP installations on SOOP platforms
  • Support with instruments
  • Data processing of the data you measured
  • Assistance with legal issues like measurements in exclusive economic zones (EEZ) or customs clearance

Meanwhile do not hesitate to contact us via info@soop-platform.earth or the contact sheet
