OCEAN OBSERVING & CO-DEVELOPMENT
SOOP initiates an innovation ecosystem for sustainable ocean observing that lowers the barriers for the development and increased use of measurement systems and data flows
WHAT DOES THIS LOOK LIKE?
SOOP offers a framework for science, industry and civil society to jointly act towards building competencies and supporting the growth of sustainable ocean observations. It promotes the co-creation of technologies, standards and best practices specifically designed for interoperability on non-scientific infrastructure.
Our goal is to enable co-development of reliable, affordable and user-friendly measurement systems and data flows together with existing and new partners in future.
Together we want to activate the social and technological innovation potential of the Blue Economy, from technology development through to usage of data.
